General Skilled Migration
The Skilled Visa to Australia is for skilled individuals or families who want to migrate permanently and contribute to filling critical skill shortages across the country.
Part of the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program, these visas are points-tested and may be granted as independent, State/Territory sponsored, or family-sponsored permanent visas.
The Skilled Occupation List determines which professions are eligible to apply for permanent residency under the GSM pathway.
